Who          All skill levels welcome (beginner to advanced)
Cost          $800 (includes 3 hours per class + some limited time outside of the class)
Lab Fee    $100 lab fee includes firing, armature materials, patinas, waxes, clay

•    Students are advised to bring clay hand-working tools if you have them
**  Class Size limited to 10 students

Schedule
Session 1         Choose and enlarge a chosen form in clay
Session 2        Prepare pieces for firing. Build armature and begin building up clay on it, Work on skull
Session 3        Work on skull, Begin work form classical plaster casts
Session 4        Continue copy of classical plaster cast
Session 5        Finish portrait from plaster casts
Session 6        Apply patina to first fired piece, Prep portrait for firing
Session 7-12  Work from live model

24” x 24” wood panel will be provided. Students will learn how to prepare their painting surface. Techniques for creating your painting including sealing, adding and removing hydrocal and applying mediums and how they affect finished product. Focus on encouraging individual style. All skill levels are welcome.

Schedule
Session 1         Prepare substrate, sketch in design, mix and apply hydrocal
Session 2        Seal painting surface and paint
Session 3        Paint
